Company Profile
Barry Evans began working in the rigging and lifting business over twenty years ago.
He operated his own lifting business in the early 90’s where he established a name for himself by providing quality products to his customers.
Barry Evans Lifting and Safety was established on the 12th Feb 2002 and in April of that year, Barry designed and manufactured the chain test bed BEL 1. It was commissioned on April 19th.
The associated hydraulics and load cell applications were manufactured in co-operation with Moblack Hydraulics and Australian Calibration Services. The design incorporates a capacity of a fifty tonne test bed. The hydraulic cylinder has 900mm of stroke, enabling the length of components for testing to measure up to 2100mm. At fifty tonnes of load, the pressure guage will read 3386psi, the maximum possble loading. The structure of the test bed design makes it virtually industructable.
Barry Evans Lifting and Safety enjoys a family style structure with plenty of shared knowledge and support. The business quickly gained a strong reputation, allowing Barry to open branches in Melbourne & Queensland. Local testing companies were not providing the quality service or products that have made Barry Evans Lifting and Safety a market leader.
Recent changes to Australian safety regulations have opened up many business opportunities within the industry. As we move into the next few years of development, we are looking to recruit team members who are willing to work hard and commit themselves to the Barry Evans Lifting & Safety Family. We believe in the importance of ownership. By your personal investment onto the business, Barry Evans Lifting and Safety will be assured of getting the best people to carry company into the future.
